Sermon: "I'm Gonna Wash Your Mouth Out" - Rennie Salata

Matthew 15:10-20 "Then he called the crowd to him and said to them, 'Listen and understand: it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but it is what comes out of the mouth that defiles.' Then the disciples approached and said to him, 'Do you know that the Pharisees took offence when they heard what you said?' He answered, 'Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. Let them alone; they are blind guides of the blind. And if one blind person guides another, both will fall into a pit.' But Peter said to him, 'Explain this parable to us.' Then he said, 'Are you also still without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth enters the stomach, and goes out into the sewer? But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this is what defiles. For out of the heart come evil intentions, murder, adultery, fornication, theft, false witness, slander. These are what defile a person, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile.'"

• Methodist Men Fundraiser Lunch - Sunday, March 7 immediately following the 11:00 am service. Menu is Country Style Steak, Grilled Onions, Gravy, Cream Potatoes, Peas, Beets, Baked Apples and Rolls. Donations Appreciated. Thank you for helping us in obtaining the funds we need to continue ministries in our church, community, and beyond.
• Click here for the 2010 Stewardship Form. Please fill out and return to any member of the Evangelism Committee.
• Circle 3 is in need of wrapped candy (no peanuts or peanut butter) to stuff inside the Easter Eggs. Candy may be placed on the bench outside of the Pastor's Study or given to Kate Holeman. Candy needs to be at the Church no later than Sunday, March 21st.
• Mt. Zion's Scouting Ministry kicked off Scouting for Food on Feb 7, Cub Scout Sunday. We will continue to collect non-perishable food items through Girl Scout Sunday, March 7th. A donation box is located in the hall from the New Fellowship Hall. All food collected will be donated to the Christian Help Center.
• The Girl Scouts will continue to sell Girl Scout Cookies until March 12th.
• Revival - Sunday, March 21 through Wednesday, March 24. Supper at 6:00 pm, Worship at 7:30 pm. Sunday - Pastor Justin Allison, Monday - Dr. Tom Holtsclaw, Tuesday - Dr. Tom Holtsclaw, Wednesday - Rev. Carol Dean

• Sign up or contact Larry Davis to help as Sunday School Devotional Leader for 2010.
