Sermon: "Pressed, But Not Crushed!" - Rev. Edgar De Jesus

2 Corinthians 4:8-9; 16-18 "We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;

So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day. For this slight momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure, because we look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen; for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal. "

• BBQ Chicken Dinner Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 5:00 - 6:30 pm. Cost of adult plate is $7.00 and child's plate is $5.00. There will be a silent auction of homemade cakes and other items. Also family entertainment will be provided.

• Mt. Zion's Scouting Ministry kicked off Scouting for Food on Feb 7, Cub Scout Sunday. We will continue to collect non-perishable food items through Girl Scout Sunday, March 7th. A donation box is located in the hall from the New Fellowship Hall. All food collected will be donated to the Christian Help Center.
• The Girl Scouts will continue to sell Girl Scout Cookies until March 12th.
• Pecans are available for sale ($8/bag). Pls. contact any member of UMW Circle 2.
• Sign up or contact Larry Davis to help as Sunday School Devotional Leader for 2010.
