Sermon: "Extravagant Generosity" - Rev. Edgar De Jesus

Proverbs 11:24-25 "Some give freely, yet grow all the richer; others withhold what is due, and only suffer want. A generous person will be enriched, and one who gives water will get water."

1 Timothy 6:17-19 "As for those who in the present age are rich, command them not to be haughty, or to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but rather on God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share, thus storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of the life that really is life."

• American Red Cross Blood Drive Sunday 21, 2010 from 12:00 noon - 4:30 pm in the Old Fellowship Hall. See Kate Holeman to sign-up.
• Dear Mt. Zion Family: How time flies! Our daughter, Kristina Esther is turning seven. Praise the Lord! And so, we invite all of our church family to come and join us for a luncheon celebration on Sunday, February 21 (right after our 10:55am worship service) at the New Fellowship Hall. • BBQ Chicken Dinner Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 5:00 - 6:30 pm. Cost of adult plate is $7.00 and child's plate is $5.00. There will be a silent auction of homemade cakes and other items. Also family entertainment will be provided.

• Mt. Zion's Scouting Ministry kicked off Scouting for Food on Feb 7, Cub Scout Sunday. We will continue to collect non-perishable food items through Girl Scout Sunday, March 7th. A donation box is located in the hall from the New Fellowship Hall. All food collected will be donated to the Christian Help Center.
• Pecans are available for sale ($8/bag). Pls. contact any member of UMW Circle 2.
• Sign up or contact Larry Davis to help as Sunday School Devotional Leader for 2010.
